Vintage Elcon Oscillating Electric Desk Fan c1930s–40s – Original Australian Industrial Fan

An original Australian-made Elcon oscillating electric desk fan, dating from the 1930s–1940s and retaining its distinctive cast ELCON centre badge, pressed steel four-blade fan and decorative wire safety guard.

Built for reliability, Elcon fans were a familiar sight in homes, offices and workshops throughout Australia before air conditioning became commonplace. Today they are highly sought after for their industrial styling and authentic period character.

This example remains in original, unrestored condition with an attractive aged patina developed over many decades.
