Grey papered boards (lettered in black on the front cover) rebacked in plain black cloth; covers a little marked, and rubbed and bumped at the extremities; acidic paper unevenly tanned and brittle (as usual), with a few tiny marginal chips; minimal signs of age and use; overall, a very good copy.
The author was a member of the battalion; he was awarded the Military Medal at Pozières in March 1916.
