A striking pair of vintage SylvaC black elephant figurines, model No. 77, made in England. Finished in a rich gloss black glaze with ivory-coloured tusks and toenails, each elephant is modelled with its trunk raised in the traditional symbol of good luck.
Large, impressive and full of character, these mid-century ceramic elephants make a wonderful decorative display and are highly sought after by SylvaC collectors.
Both are impressed SylvaC, Made in England, and No. 77 to the underside.
Condition:
Good vintage condition overall.
Minor age-related glaze wear and small chips to a few high points, consistent with age and use.
No cracks or repairs noted.
