Kalmar Pottery Australia – Large Lustre Glaze Urn Vase (Shape 75, c.1950s)
A superb example of mid-century Australian ceramic design by Kalmar Pottery, Victoria, c.1950s.
This impressive twin-handled urn features a softly graduated lustre glaze moving from sky blue to golden yellow and blush pink at the base, finished with gold highlights on the rim and handles.
Kalmar’s lustreware range epitomised the glamour of 1950s Australian interiors — refined, decorative, and distinctly modern. Each piece was hand-glazed, producing subtle variations in colour and sheen.
