Perth & Fremantle aerated water bottle | c. 1900–1915
Scarce Donaldson & Collins Codd-neck aerated water bottle, embossed for Perth & Fremantle, Western Australia. Heavy aqua glass with classic internal marble chamber and well-defined oval cartouche featuring the distinctive hand emblem.
Donaldson & Collins were prominent WA bottlers supplying the metropolitan and port districts during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Bottles from this firm are increasingly difficult to source, particularly intact examples with readable embossing.
A strong piece of early Western Australian commercial and social history.
