Classic Barsony “Black Lady” lamp, model FL-39, straight out of 1950s Australia.
This is one of the more recognisable Barsony forms—the seated figure with red skirt, stylised pose, and that signature matte black finish. The original pleated shade in red, black and cream ties it together properly.
Stamped to base “BARSONY FL-39”, which is exactly what you want to see. These figural lamps were produced in Sydney in the mid-century period and have become a staple of Australian retro interiors.
