An impressive late Victorian to Edwardian transitional oak sideboard, dating to around 1895–1910.
The design shows a strong emerging Art Nouveau influence, particularly in the sweeping arched door panels, flowing floral carving and sinuous decorative details.
Beautifully figured oak throughout, with three cupboards, four internal drawers, generous shelving and an original fitted bottle/cellaret compartment. Raised on elaborately carved feet with a curved stretcher base and castors.
A substantial and highly decorative piece of turn-of-the-century furniture with excellent storage.
Condition: Good antique condition with age-related wear, marks and patina consistent with use. Please refer to photographs.
