Dated 1912, this is an original antique lantern by Bulpitt & Sons of Birmingham, a well-known English manufacturer of industrial and railway lighting.
Constructed in brass with a naturally aged patina, the lantern features a classic multi-panel design with glass panels and a hinged access door. The original internal burner assembly is still present, along with the carry handle and wooden grip.
The maker’s stamp is clearly visible to the top section: “Bulpitt & Sons – 1912 – Birmingham”
