1917 Hands Across The Sea Embroidered Silk Postcard USA UK Flags France

Embroidered textile postcard captioned Hands Across the Sea, with clasped hands, United States and British flags and flowers. Scalloped flap-style textile panel in embossed card mount. Reverse marked Fabrication francaise, A.O., Vise Paris. Handwritten message from Colin to his sister Ella Graham in Salisbury, South Australia, headed France and dated 16 October 1917. No stamp or postmark visible.

Condition: Age toning, small spots and marks, edge wear and corner creasing, including lower right on front. Creases across the left reverse. Some loose embroidery threads and a small ink mark visible on the textile. Please examine both photographs for condition.
