A lovely Depression-era uranium glass serving tray, featuring an acid-frosted leaf border surrounding a central rose medallion. The original chrome stem is topped with a brown Bakelite finial, making it ideal for serving sandwiches, cakes, biscuits or sweets. Under UV light it displays a vivid green fluorescence, confirming genuine uranium content.
While I can't positively attribute it to a specific maker from these photos alone, it is very much in the style of American Depression glass produced during the 1930s, with similar handled trays made by companies such as Hocking, Federal Glass and Hazel-Atlas.
