Murano-Style Black Glass Centrepiece Bowl

A striking mid-century freeform art glass centrepiece in deep black cased glass with a polished clear rim. The organic elongated oval form and gently upturned ends give this piece a sculptural presence, making it equally suited as a fruit bowl, console centrepiece or decorative display.

The bowl is substantial at approximately 31 cm long × 20 cm wide × 7 cm high and weighs 1.4 kg, indicating quality, heavy glass construction. The base is polished and unmarked. There are light surface scratches consistent with careful use but no chips or cracks.
