A charming complete set of four vintage ceramic kitchen canisters made in Japan, dating to the late 1970s or early 1980s.
Featuring ribbed cream bodies with raised mushrooms, butterflies, flowers and foliage, each canister is topped with a beautifully modelled mushroom lid in rich autumn tones. The graduated sizes make the set both practical and highly decorative.
This set has had one owner since 1980 and appears never to have been used, with exceptionally clean interiors and bright original gloss. A wonderful addition to a retro kitchen or a collection of vintage Japanese ceramics.
