Vintage Premier Big Band Bass Drum (c.1950s–60s, England)

A genuine mid-century Premier bass drum, made in England — the same brand used by countless British dance bands and early rock-and-roll groups of the 1950s and 60s.

🎵 Features:

• Classic big band / marching band size – approx. 26–28 inches diameter x 14 inches deep (large stage drum presence)

• Original orange lacquered shell with black, red and cream Deco-stripe wrap

• Pressed steel lugs with Premier’s signature art-deco styling

• Remo Weather King head on one side (later replacement), other side original skin

• Fitted with dual tension rods and mounting eyelets for harness or stand attachment

• Used in a marching band for Ambulance services in Australia

📜 Condition:
Structurally solid with no splits or repairs. Original wrap shows expected wear, scuffs, and flaking consistent with age and use. Hardware tarnished but complete. Great display piece, studio prop, or restoration candidate for a retro kit build.
