A beautifully hand-painted Chinese porcelain ginger jar featuring vibrant floral motifs, butterflies and songbirds against a rich cobalt blue ground, framed by traditional shaped reserves. The piece displays classic Famille Rose-style colouring with pink peonies symbolising prosperity, and delicately outlined botanical detail.
The underside bears a traditional apocryphal mark in iron red, referencing earlier Qing Dynasty wares. Produced as a decorative export piece mid 20th century, it retains excellent colour and gloss, making it ideal for modern oriental styling or Chinoiserie-inspired interiors.
Perfect as a small accent vase, shelf display, or gift for lovers of Asian ceramics.
