A charming vintage Chinese scholar's calligraphy set presented in its original silk brocade fan-shaped presentation case.

The set contains everything required for traditional brush calligraphy and painting, including five bamboo-handled brushes, a carved ink stone with brass water dropper, decorated ink stick, porcelain brush rest, two blue and white porcelain water/ink dishes and a carved stone seal.

An attractive decorative piece as well as a practical starter set for Chinese calligraphy or Sumi-e painting.
