A delightful Victorian porcelain figurine titled “The Flower Seller”, attributed to English potter John Bevington, c.1880. This richly hand-painted figure features a dapper gentleman perched beside a barrow overflowing with applied blossoms, all set on a textured yellow spongeware-style base.

Known for his expressive characters and colourful enamel finishes, Bevington’s work is quintessential Staffordshire — whimsical, sentimental, and packed with personality. This figure is unmarked (as many Bevington pieces are) but displays strong stylistic hallmarks of his known work.
