A striking Victorian epergne featuring four fluted cranberry glass trumpets with applied rigaree decoration and vivid uranium glass frilled rims.
Under UV light the vaseline glass edges glow an intense electric green — a standout feature that elevates this beyond standard examples.
The trumpets are set in an ornate silver-plated base with flowing rococo revival detail. All elements are present and sit securely.
A classic late 19th-century centrepiece, originally intended for table display with flowers or confectionery, now highly sought after for its sculptural form and uranium glass content.
Condition
Very good antique condition. Glass appears free from major chips or cracks. Silver plate shows age-related wear and tarnish consistent with period.
Dimensions: 42cm tall
Shipping
Carefully packed with individual protection for each trumpet. Local pickup available at Northam Secondhand.
