A fine late Victorian pickle caster featuring original silverplate frame, removable cranberry glass jar and matching lid with hand-painted enamel floral decoration. Includes the original pickle tongs suspended from the stand.

These ornate table pieces were used during formal dining occasions to present pickles, relishes or condiments. Now highly collectable, they make excellent decorative accents, particularly for Victorian, Edwardian or antique tableware displays.
