Beautiful Victorian cranberry glass bowl with applied vaseline uranium rigaree rim, dating to the late 19th century.
The bowl features a rich ruby cranberry glass body with optic ribbing, finished with a hand-applied crimped vaseline glass rim. Under UV light the rim glows brilliantly, confirming uranium content in the glass.
This combination of cranberry body and uranium rigaree rim was popular in Victorian Bohemian art glass, particularly pieces produced for the English export market.
A striking decorative piece that displays beautifully both in natural light and under blacklight.
