Victorian Cedar Chiffonier with Carved Back & Turned Columns c1880

Solid Victorian chiffonier in rich cedar, late 19th century. Classic form with shaped backboard, central carved crest, and turned front columns framing a pair of panelled cupboard doors. The proportions are tight and practical, not oversized, which makes it an easy fit in modern homes.

Original warm patina with good depth of colour. The top presents cleanly with light, honest wear consistent with age. Doors sit well and open smoothly. Interior is neat and usable for storage. Decorative drop pull with tassel adds a nice period touch.

A proper old house piece, the sort that came out of a stately residence and has survived intact.

Works well as a hallway statement, drinks cabinet, or compact sideboard.
