A rare slice of Western Australian history. This 19cm aqua glass Codd bottle bears the embossed mark of The Northam Brewery & Refrigerating Co. Ltd, Northam – a short-lived but fascinating part of Wheatbelt heritage. Designed with the signature internal marble stopper patented by Hiram Codd in the late 19th century, these bottles were used to keep carbonated drinks fizzy before crown caps became the norm.
With beautiful age bubbles in the glass, this bottle has survived remarkably intact – a must-have for collectors of antique bottles, Northam memorabilia, or early Australian brewing history. Displays beautifully on a shelf and makes a great conversation starter.
