A substantial hand-blown studio art glass paperweight by Western Australian glass artist Peter Roy, signed "P. Roy WA" to the polished base. This impressive teardrop-form piece features a vibrant orange aventurine-style core encased in clear crystal, surrounded by swirling cobalt blue, amber and white trails suggestive of ocean currents and breaking waves.

The layered glasswork, controlled bubbles and rich colours create exceptional depth and movement, while the heavy weight and polished finish reflect the quality of Australian studio glass from the period.
