A vintage Shelley vase, produced in England in the early 1920s.
The piece features a matte black ground contrasted with a hand-painted band of stylised floral decoration in pink, purple, blue and green tones. A softly flared rim and tapered body give the form a restrained Art Deco influence, bridging late Edwardian and early Deco design.
The base carries the Shelley mark along with registration number 73706, dating the design to the early 20th century.
A decorative and affordable example of English ceramics from this period.
Condition
Good vintage condition. No cracks or chips observed. Minor surface wear and light marks consistent with age. Some expected wear to decoration.
