A compact Shelley bud vase, produced in England in the 1920s.
Finished in a deep black ground, the body is decorated with a hand-painted floral motif in soft pink, green and white tones. The low, rounded form with a short flared neck gives the piece a strong Art Deco character, suited to small arrangements or display.
The base carries the Shelley England mark. Pieces of this type were produced as decorative wares during the interwar period and remain popular for their contrast and colour.
A neat cabinet piece with good visual impact despite its small size.

Very good vintage condition. No chips or cracks observed. Minor wear consistent with age.
