Original Scott’s Emulsion bottle, early 20th century, now a deep amethyst purple from long-term sun exposure.
Embossed front panel with strong, legible lettering. Classic square-section form with chamfered shoulders and short collar neck. Originally clear glass, the manganese content has shifted to a rich violet tone over time, giving it that unmistakable “sun purple” character collectors chase.
This is the right combination: named product, good height, and strong colour.
Condition: Good antique condition. Light internal haze and general wear from age. Minor surface marks and small nibbles around edges as shown. No major cracks.
