Proper English chintz. Royal Winton / Grimwades “Summertime” pattern with dense floral transfer on a black ground, one of the more striking variants.

Classic footed sugar bowl form with gilt trim. Highly decorative, works equally well as a display piece or small serving bowl.

Very good vintage condition. No chips or cracks noted. Light age-related wear to gilt rim and minor crazing consistent with period.
