Designed by Belgian-born Nanny Still (1926–2009) for the Finnish Riihimäen Lasi company, the Grapponia series debuted in 1968 and was produced until 1975. Known for its rhythmic circular relief motifs and saturated glass tones, Grapponia has become one of the most recognisable Scandinavian glass designs of the late 20th century.
This 22 cm deep cobalt blue charger features:
-
Bold circular raised patterning in classic Grapponia formation
-
Sculptural, textured glass surface
-
Glows beautifully under UV light (see first image)
-
Excellent condition, no chips or cracks
Originally designed as tableware, these pieces are now widely collected as functional art objects.
A striking addition to any modernist, mid-century, Scandinavian, or glass art collection.
📍 Available in-store and online from Northam Secondhand, WA.
