c.1960s–1970s
A beautifully balanced mid-century art glass bowl formed in thick, layered cased glass, combining deep smoked green outer tones with a soft plum-brown interior.
The rounded triangular form and heavy construction are characteristic of post-war European decorative glass, designed to emphasise colour depth, optical layering and sculptural presence rather than pure function.
Viewed from above, the internal teardrop form appears suspended within the glass — a classic mid-century visual device that changes subtly with light and angle.
Substantial yet refined, this piece works equally well as a standalone object or grouped with other studio glass forms.
