His Master’s Voice (HMV) Record Cabinet – c.1920s–30s

Original His Master’s Voice (HMV) timber record cabinet, dating to the 1920s–early 1930s, manufactured by The Gramophone Company Ltd., Hayes, Middlesex.

Designed to store shellac 78rpm records, this cabinet retains its original internal dividers and Nipper “His Master’s Voice” decals to the inside of both doors — a key detail often lost on surviving examples.

Solid, functional, and full of honest wear, this piece works equally well today as:

• record or vinyl storage

• bar or drinks cabinet

• bathroom or hallway cupboard

• book or media storage

We have left the surface untouched beyond cleaning, preserving the original patina and wear consistent with age.

• Original interior dividers intact

• Visible veneer wear, scuffs and surface losses consistent with age
