Amazing to think that this piece of furniture was around during Napoleon’s reign and the French Revolution. Georgian era was between 1740 to 1830-3, named after the Hanoverian kings George I, George II, George III & George IV - and during the romantics of literature in a time of Coleridge, Wordsworth, Shelley, Byron, Keats and William Blake - and the Age of Enlightenment
