An early 20th-century Thai bronze Buddha figure cast in the traditional lost-wax method, depicting the Bhumisparsha mudra (Earth-Touching gesture of enlightenment). Styled after forms of the Sukhothai period, characterised by the elegant curvature of the torso and serene facial expression.
The statue retains its original internal clay casting core, visible from the underside – a key indicator of authentic regional production techniques used in the late 19th to early 20th century. Natural patination is consistent with age and has been left untouched.
