The instrument has two graduated scales measuring 0–6 volts and 0–18 volts. Pocket-watch-style electrical meters of this type were used by radio technicians, motorists and electrical engineers to test low-voltage batteries and accumulators.
The dial is marked ROTAX and retains its original needle and internal mechanism.
Displays considerable surface wear, tarnishing, staining and oxidation consistent with age and workshop use. The accuracy and operation of the instrument have not been tested.
