Charming late Victorian photograph album bound in black leather with gilt decoration and original brass clasp. These albums were designed to hold cabinet card portraits, the popular studio photograph format of the late 19th century.
Inside the album is a handwritten dedication dated Christmas 1891, reading:
“For dear Dulcie with her own Aunt’s best love – Xmas / 91.”
