A classic English advertising mustard pot with plenty of presence on the shelf. This small stoneware jar once held “La Favorite” superfine mustard, made in London and supplied by Continental Comestibles Ltd. The crisp black transfer print and warm cream glaze give it that proper pantry aesthetic.
Made by Doulton Lambeth, one of the most respected English potteries, this is a solid example of early 20th century food packaging that now sits comfortably in a collection of kitchenalia or advertising ware.
Compact, displayable, and increasingly harder to find in clean condition.
