A classic early Victorian chest with exceptional flame mahogany veneers across the drawer fronts, set over a cedar carcass. The figuring is the standout here — deep, lively grain that shifts with the light. Simple turned knobs and original keyholes keep it honest and unfussy, while the turned feet give it a nice bit of lift.
Two over three drawer configuration with good, usable depth — a practical piece as well as decorative.
Condition is good for age with typical wear: surface marks and veneer stress to the top, small knocks to edges and corners, and general age-related patina throughout. Presents well and structurally sound.
A strong, character piece that works just as well in a period setting as it does against modern interiors.
