AGEE glass telegraph insulator, Australian manufacture (AGM), c.1930s. Originally clear glass, now a deep amethyst tone from long-term sunlight exposure (manganese reaction). Classic pony profile used on lower-voltage telegraph and telephone lines.
Embossed “AGEE” to skirt.
Displays well with strong colour in natural light.
Condition Very good vintage condition. Light surface wear and minor scuffs consistent with outdoor use. No cracks noted.
