Surfs Up Wadjemup

We were invited to design and exhibition for the Wadjemup Museum on the history of surfing at Rottnest - so it was time to head over to the island for a briefing...

We needed to devise a way to attract people to the museum...

So we thought of installing secondhand surfboards on the non-heritage listed entry wall leading into the museum

We found time to wander around the island and visit the Aboriginal cemetery and pay our respects

This is the Quod panopticon at Wadjemup, just across from the museum

There is a sadness and beauty to Wadjemup

No surfing for us this time, but found time to concept a logo

Looking forward to going back again for the install in December... until then there is much work to be done
