Royal Doulton Shakespeare Seriesware Bowl – “Orlando”, c.1930 Hand-Painted 21 cm Display Bowl

A superb example of Royal Doulton Shakespeare Seriesware, featuring “Orlando”, the young nobleman from Shakespeare’s As You Like It. Produced circa 1928–1936, this hand-painted bowl blends a soft atmospheric woodland ground with a finely detailed character study at centre.

The scalloped rim, brown edge line, and signature Doulton colour palette of ochre, celadon, and mist-blue make this an excellent display piece for any collector of English ceramics or theatrical seriesware.
