A beautiful large-format Royal Doulton Seriesware plate featuring a pastoral scene of a mother and child walking through a meadow at the edge of a wood. Produced in the late 1920s–1930s, this range is known for its atmospheric landscapes, golden tonal washes, and fine hand-painted detailing.
The rim is decorated with dramatic tree silhouettes and birds in flight, creating a striking vignette around the soft central scene. The warm honey glaze, characteristic early crazing, and deep ochre ground give this piece the unmistakable Doulton Art Deco pastoral aesthetic.
