A scarce Royal Doulton flambé thimble dating to the late 1920s–1930s, finished in a rich oxblood red reduction glaze with darker pooled tones. The moulded dimpled crown and compact tapered form are classic, while the flambé firing gives each piece its distinctive surface character.
Originally made as a functional sewing thimble, today it is prized as a miniature example of inter-war British ceramic artistry.
