A superb example of Royal Doulton Flambé, the company’s most dramatic and collectible glaze. This square wavy-edge dish features a deep ruby flambé ground with a subtle black landscape scene — a cottage nestled among trees — revealed beneath the glaze in the classic Doulton manner.
Hand-finished and kiln-fired to produce its characteristic oxblood depth, each flambé piece is unique in tone and density, making it one of the most desirable Doulton specialty lines.
